Attractions:
The Gir National Park and Sanctuary, covering 1400 sq km of dry deciduous
forest and tropical thorn forest, is home to the leopard, jungle cat, rusty
spotted cat and hyena. Among the prey species are the sambhar, cheetal,
four-horned antelope, wild boar and hare. Gir is also a bird watcher's
paradise as it has more than 200 species of avi-fauna.
